Labour prices and common parts
How pricing is quoted
We quote based on what’s actually involved, not vague categories. The three things that matter most are the door/lock type, what has failed, and whether it’s an emergency visit or a booked slot.
- Diagnosis first: tell us what the lock is doing and the door type, and send a photo if you can.
- Quote before tools come out: we agree the work and the price before starting.
- Non-destructive where possible: if entry can be gained without damage, we’ll try that route first.
Typical labour windows
- Lock change (standard cylinder): 30–60 minutes.
- Non-destructive entry: often 20–45 minutes depending on the lock.
- UPVC multipoint faults: commonly 60–120 minutes (and parts may be needed).
Emergency vs scheduled jobs
Emergency attendance is priced differently to scheduled work because it requires immediate routing. If it can wait, a booked visit is usually the best value option.
How to get an accurate quote
To price it accurately, we just need the door type and a clear photo of the lock/handle area.
- Photo 1: lock and handle from the outside.
- Photo 2: door edge (faceplate) with the door open.
- Tell us: what’s happening (key turns/not, handle lifts/not, latch stuck).
Send it via contact. If you’re checking whether we cover your location, see service areas.
